How do I set up an Authorized User for the portals?
In order to have an authorized user with portal access you will need to do the following in this order:
1. Make sure the information in the contact for the individual is correct – Update the existing contact or add new contacts and create the User Accounts/Portal if one does not exist
2. Add the Authorized User to each loan under the Entities Tab with the correct roles - Borrower Statements & Courtesy Reminders ONLY
3. Contact Product Support to enable specific permissions for the Payment Portal
Instructions:
1. CONTACT CARD/USER ACCOUNT SET UP:
Contact Card in LMS must have:
- Name
- Phone number
- “Linked to User Account” – should match the email address
- Organization Tab
- Borrower Name - Borrower
- Business Roles Tab:
- Borrower Statement
- Courtesy Reminders
To Create New Contact and User Account: (if your user/user account does not exist in LMS yet)
From LMS Menu:

Select Organizations
-
Select Contacts.

Click Add
-
Complete the Required Fields:

Organization they are associated with (Borrower Name)

Salutation (there is a blank option for this)
-
first name
-
last name
-
email address
-
phone number
-
-
Click Save
-
Add Business Roles on the contact card

Stay on the Contact Card and scroll down to the Business Roles Tab

Click "ADD"
-
Checkmark Borrower Statement
-
Checkmark Courtesy Reminders

Click “Add Selected”

To Create New User Account (for existing and new contacts)
In the contact details:- Checkmark the box “Create User”
- Fill in the following information
- Password: bc1234
- Confirm Password: bc1234
- Role: BC Portal
- Is External User – should be marked automatically
- Save and Close
NOTE: This creates the User Account/ Portal; but ONLY gives access to the Borrower/Draw Portal.
2. ENTITIES TAB SET UP:
Entities Tab on the Loan Must Have:
- {Contact Name} - Borrower Statement
- {Contact Name} - Courtesy Reminders
To Add the Authorized User to the Entities Tab
From LMS Menu:

Select Loans

Select Details
-
Open the Loan Details
-
Select the Entities Tab.

On the Entities Tab, click Add.

Search for the contact by name or email

Checkmark the Contact’s Name with the role Borrower Statement

Checkmark the Contact’s Name with the role Courtesy Reminders

DO NOT Checkmark the option labeled as Guarantor

Click the box “Add Related Entity” and click the X to close out and go back to the Entities Tab Table.
3. PRODUCT SUPPORT TICKET:
Send in a Product Support Ticket to enable User Account Permissions specific for the payment portal.
Contact Product Support For:
- Any questions or clarification on this process is needed
- The "Linked User Account" and email address on the contact don't match
- Error messages received while building, saving or adding information to LMS
